Imagine
In all the entirety of space
should it be so improbable
inhabited planets
drifting in the endless slow dance of stars
'til they find
they are not alone.
We are not alone.
But the paths between stars
have grown murky and dim
in the face of mankind's faith
in Science.
The paths do not lie out there
for starships to plunder and pollute.
They are hidden
treasures of heart and mind
dimensions beyond the three we live most easily
within reach of the child
but lost to the ones who seek.
Walk with us.
For in the still and silence
you may find
aliens among you
We are aliens ourselves
Sojourners on this planet you call Earth.
Open your mind
and realize
we can see only the barest hint
of the splendour of stars
can guess at only the tiniest possibilities
of what might be.
There are worlds beyond those you know
Worlds within those you see
And in the space where stars dance
We might find our way
